Buddies

- Growing Together, One Friendship at a Time -

The buddy role at school is an extremely important and popular role of responsibility! It is a purposeful program of activities where children from different year groups build lasting relationships over three years.

In Year 3, children work on a program of activities to prepare them for taking on the older support buddy role. Older children in Years 4, 5 and 6 team up with children in Reception, Year 1, and Year 2 to participate in purposeful activities that build communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.  Additionally, this program helps develop empathy, confidence, and respect for others and contributes to building our thriving school community.
