After OLI
Once our pupils reach the end of Year 6, they are ready for their next chapter. We prepare them for a smooth transition to Secondary School. This could be one of our feeder schools, other local schools or, for some children, a grammar school.
The schools that most of our children transfer to include the following:
- Richard Challoner School
- The Holy Cross School
- Ursuline High School
- Tolworth Girls’ School
- Southborough High School
- Hollyfield School
- Wimbledon College
- St Andrew’s Catholic School
- Chessington School
- Coombe Boys’ School and Coombe Girls’ School
Open Days:
We advise that you begin attending open days run by these local schools when your child is in Year 5 so that you can ask questions and get a feel for which school is the right one for your child.
Applications:
Online applications open when your child is in Year 6 on the 1st September and the closing date is 31st October. This application allows you to apply for up to six schools, listed in order of preference. At the later date of 1st March, you will be able to log onto eAdmissions to view your application result and accept or decline your offer of school place online.
Please note that if your child has an EHCP plan, you should not complete the application form as your child’s school placement will be dealt with by the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) team. Please speak to our SENDco about this at the earliest opportunity in Year 5.
